Project Objectives:

Development and demonstration of intelligent cross-linking of heat pumps with powerful PCM storage to an innovative modular storage system.


Any hitherto developed electrified vehicles not imply satisfactory solutions for emission-free and energy-efficient heating.

At final stops besides battery storage also a heating store will be charged in a view minutes (principle: opportunity charging). The heating energy stored is given off in a controlled way to the passenger compartment during the route without demanding additional battery performance. At the same time, recuperation energy can be directly used for heating, if necessary, and herewith total efficiency will be improved.
